Well I had a crush on Davy because 1) he was pretty and 2) he had a British accent, which made him unique and slightly exotic, and 3) I thought Micky was ugly and 4) Mike was uninteresting and 5) Peter was too silly for me.

Mainly the accent. I've always been an Anglophile, and always thought foreign accents were cool. :D

So in what order do you like them? I haven't watched them in years so my tastes may have changed, but I'd say Davy, Peter, Mike, Micky.

(By the way, randomly, in the musical group Darts their saxophone player called himself Horatio Hornblower - real name Horace Trubridge.)

Yeah, I suspected it would be the accent...
I do like them all, but first of all Mike, because he's funny, talented and, well... hot.
Second is Peter and third Micky & Davy. I couldn't choose between the last two... I prefer Micky's voice over Davy's, but that's all.

Hehe... a rather fitting name for a saxophone player! ;)

Actually, I like Micky the best 1) his voice 2) he cracks me up all the time! Then I go with Mike second and Peter & Davy have a tie for third. And yeah, I love accents too.

Oh, I think I know no one that lists Micky as his number one Monkee... but yes, his voice is just great and he's hilarious.

Yeah, I haven't really seen anybody like that either, which I think is a shame. We watched "Card Carrying Red Shoes" the other day and it's still so funny!!

It's still so funny, you're right! I've been rewatching season 1 and gonna do so with season 2, too and I just love it! It may be silly, but at least it hasn't this mean undertone that comedy often has today. You know, jokes at the expense of others...

I know!! My family is working our way through the seasons as well, and we're about halfway through the second season. :)

I know exactly what you mean about today's comedy! That's why I don't like it as much as I like comedy from shows like "I Love Lucy", "The Andy Griffith Show", "Leave it to Beaver", "The Beverly Hillbillies", or "The Dick Van Dyke Show". And it's also why I don't like so many 'comedy' movies today, the jokes aren't always that funny.

I have to get back to this discussion... :)
I've now rewatched both seasons and Head and watched a documentary from the 90's and... gah! I really love those guys! All of them! Hehe, I almost feel again like when I was 14 and first discovered them... *g*
(I just don't want to hear about reality, in my world they all like each other... ;) )

And I really get why you like Micky so much now. I think it was that video for Randy Scout Git that made me realize... that sparkle in his eyes, he's just so damn likeable!
So, it's last place for Davy now... I'm so sorry! ;)

Micky just seems so bubbly and cheerful to me, and yes, so very likeable. I mean, I adore all the guys, but Micky, he'll always be my favorite. :)
